Some are for sale when the right person turns up. Some never will be. All of them have a story.

“Guards Red, West Cork”
Found in a heated garage outside Skibbereen in 2004, sold by the widow of the original importer. The original tool roll, the cardboard service booklet, and a bound folder of every receipt since 1989. I drive it on Sundays between Easter and October.

“One Owner, 41,000 Honest Miles”
Bought new from Universal Honda in 2003. Cam chain done at 60k preventatively, every oil change on Mobil 1 0W-40. I keep the receipts in a Ryman ringbinder. The interior still smells faintly of the day I drove it home.

“Twenty Years to Find Her”
I started looking for the right Mk2 in 1998. Twenty years and four false starts later, I found this one in a barn near Athenry. Original Tornado Red, BBS RS that came with her, sunroof that still works.

“Alpine White, Stone Barn”
Imported from Munich in 1990 by a man who raced her in club hillclimbs until 2010. I bought her from his estate. Bare metal respray in 2014 in the original Alpinweiss II. S14 rebuilt at 90k by Munich Legends.

“British Racing Green, Wild Atlantic Way”
Bought sight unseen from a doctor in Cork who'd had her for nineteen years. Drove her home with the roof down in October. The hood is original. The wood-rim Nardi was in the boot, wrapped in newspaper.

“World Rally Blue, Wicklow Forest”
Found through a friend of a friend in Newtownmountkennedy. Two-owner car, full Subaru Ireland history, never tracked, never tuned beyond a stage one map at Litchfield. Gold BBS as God intended.
